Becoming Catholic | RCIA
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process through which people enter the Catholic Church. This includes people who have not been baptized (called catechumens) and people who have been baptized in another Christian church and now seek full Communion with the Catholic Church.
We host a group of candidates and their sponsors each year. Beginning in September, they meet every Monday evening and end the transformation with their reception into full communion with the Church at the Easter Vigil.
- While the program is in progress, we ask parishioners to provide support, especially prayer!
- We also have need for a few parishioners who would be willing to be sponsors and accompany new candidates each Monday night as they grow closer to Jesus and learn about our Faith.
- We also support them by providing a meal each Monday night. If you’d like to help with that one day, please sign up with Deacon Chuck!
