Between December 2022 and October 2023, the Building, Grounds, & Infrastructure Committee worked with architects from Leo A. Daly and parish and school leadership to develop a Master Plan. The fruit of the three-year strategy planning process, the Master Plan Planning Study focuses on priorities outlined below. The recommendations in the Master Plan have been previewed by parish and school leadership, and were shared with the entire parish in the summer of 2024 through a Feasibility Study.

Your feedback in this study will be critical to establishing achievable goals over the next 5-10 years. The Master Plan provides us with an exciting road map to help us equip disciples for mission over the next ten years.

60 SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Timebound) Goals have been identified for our parish community in response to the year-long comprehensive study and strategic planning process. Six dedicated teams were formed, focusing on six areas of ministry. Over the 2022 Lenten and Easter seasons, we will be spotlighting each of these 6 committees and their plans to implement their respective S.M.A.R.T. goals.

The next steps include a survey of all groups that utilize SMM facilities and determine their desired usage requirements by building, day, and hours needed as input to the Parish Space Optimization Study.  Strategic Planning - SMART Goal Process (Early Stages)

Throughout 2020-2021, St. Margaret Mary went through a comprehensive parish planning process involving as many parishioners as possible, forming teams and looking at our parish's needed ministries and activities for the future. The feedback and involvement of our parishioners shaped this plan.

As an outgrowth of our parish planning, six dedicated teams formed, focusing on these six ministry areas: Worship & Sacraments; Community Life; Faith Formation & Education; Parish Care and Outreach; Stewardship & Administration; Building, Grounds & Infrastructure.

On Aug. 14, 2021, SMM parishioners voted with their voices on 130 IDEAS for the parish's needs. The six teams developed Input/Output assessments of all 130 IDEAS. The consolidated assessments were then submitted to the Finance Committee in mid-September 2021, and in October and November 2021, the Parish Pastoral Council approved the assessments for each parish area into 60 S.M.A.R.T. Goals.
