Who Are We?
We are an international (about 170 countries) organization of adult Catholic men and women who assist the clergy in sharing our faith with others.
It includes both active and auxiliary members.
Active Members
Active members age 18 or over, attend regularly scheduled weekly meetings and offer our services to our pastor to aid him in performing spiritual works in the parish. We also recite the Catena (Legion Prayer) daily. Those under 18 may join the Junior Praesidia.
Auxiliary Members
Auxiliary members offer to Our Lady their prayers so that she can apply them where they are most needed. The prayers assigned are the daily recitation of the 5-decade Rosary and the prayers contained in the Legion of Mary prayer card, called the “Tessera”.
Mission Statement
The Legion sees as its priority the spiritual and social welfare of each individual with Conversion/Evangelization, Conservation/Instruction and Consolation.
