There are 2 lists of supplies for each academic year.
1. A list to purchase supplies at the store of your choice.
2. A list to purchase through St. Margaret Mary School.
*There is no need to purchase any items you already have.

All grades require a few items (varies depending on grade level) that must be purchased through SMM for the 2026-2027 School year.

St. Margaret Mary School Uniform Guidelines
New uniforms can be purchased at DiGiorgios Sportswear, 14119 Q Street.
*We encourage you to order in the late spring or early summer (8 weeks out) due to potential longer-than-expected shipping times.
Providing affordable options is important to us. To further support families, we maintain a vast inventory of used jumpers, sweaters, sweatshirts, polos, and more items at our Play It Again Spartans Used Uniform Store. The Home and School Association facilitates this store as a convenient uniform solution. Whether you shop at the Used Uniform store in the summer to stock up for the school year or after a mid-year growth spurt, the Used Uniform store is available to all families. Please look forward to purchasing from our selection of used uniforms at the SMM Open House in early August 2026!
Remember to ask your child to check the school's lost-and-found for misplaced uniform items.

K-4th-grade girls wear jumpers, skirts, or skorts. 5th-8th grade girls wear skirts. All girls may also choose to wear shorts and pants. |
*Starting with the 2026-2027 school year, ALL students may wear either white, grey, or green SMM logo polo shirts. |
Many students wear St. Margaret Mary 1/4 zip sweatshirts and sweaters in the colder months. New 1/4 zip performance sweatshirts and full-zip fleece jackets are available. |
All School parents are members of the St. Margaret Mary Home and School Association.
The SMM Home and School Association promotes cooperation between parents and the school. The Association facilitates volunteer positions throughout the school year to support school programming. They also help with school fundraising.
The Home and School Board presents key information for parents on Curriculum Nights.
The Home and School Association helps to support the school in many ways. Funds raised by the Home and School Association were used for the purchase of Chromebooks for students in grades 3-8. Each family is charged an annual fee for Home and School dues. The dues provide funding for lunches for teachers on parent-teacher conference days and teacher appreciation days, as well as a year-end purchase for the school. Recently, 17 Apple Laptops for teachers and 6 classroom whiteboards were purchased using Home and School Funds.

In accordance with the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ (USCCB) Charter for the Protection of Children and Youth, the Omaha Archdiocese requires training for adults who have contact with children in athletics, school activities, Scouts, or other youth activities in our parish. The Archdiocese has expanded the training to include the safety and care of vulnerable adults.
The Archdiocesan Safe Environment Training, Circle of Care, is designed to help volunteers become even more aware and responsible leaders who foster a secure, joy-filled atmosphere for our children and vulnerable adults.

There are several volunteer opportunities for parents to engage with the school community. Online sign-ups for the school year volunteer spots are sent via email to all school parents during the first week of school.
One example shown here is the Teacher Appreciation Committee. This team provides lunches and dinners on the days of Parent-Teacher conferences when teachers stay late at school. They also provide snacks a couple of times throughout the year.
Lunchroom servers may contact the Kitchen directly to sign up for service. To find out about how to volunteer for a specific event or activity, contact Home and School Board President Michelle Chartrand.

TAGG stands for Together A Greater Good. Visit a participating business, take a picture of your receipt, and the business makes a donation to our school – many donations are 5% of the purchase price. Click on TAGG to find out how to get started.

St. Margaret Mary School provides Extended Care programs during the school year to serve families in need of care for children before and after school attendance.
The program is open on days that St. Margaret Mary School is in session.
Online Extended Care Registration for the 2025-2026 school year will be open May 1 - June 1, 2025

The Extended Care program is available to children enrolled at St. Margaret Mary School and complies with all Nebraska Department of Social Services licensing requirements for daycare facilities.
Students may participate in the school lunch program or bring lunch from home.
Charges will be applied for meals, extras, and à la carte items according to the chart below.

The school lunch plan is a pre-paid program. Parents first deposit money in their family lunch account on FACTS and keep the balance positive throughout the year.
Free and reduced lunch price meal benefits are available to families qualifying for this program. Applications for this program were distributed to all parents at the beginning of the school year, and additional copies are available in the school office.
