SMM Fall 2025 Cross Country
Cross Country is a fall sport for girls and boys in 6th-8th grades. St. Margaret Mary Catholic plays in the PAL (Parochial Athletic League). The season runs from August through mid-October. Everyone makes the team and is eligible to run in all meets, including the state meet. However, only the top 5 runners from each team can compete in the state title race.
Meets: Begin in September and are between 1.5 and 2 miles. Girls and boys run separately.
Practices: During the school year, they are tentatively scheduled on Wednesdays, 5:00 - 6:00 pm, and Fridays, 3:30 - 4:30 pm. Everyone practices together. There will be some preseason practices scheduled for early August.
Cost: $75 when you register. The cost covers meet fees, uniforms, sweatshirts, and the end-of-season pizza party.
Parent Help: We will send out a signup sheet for help with snacks, tent set up/tear down, bib pinning, and help with practices.
