The St. Margaret Mary Math Team offers an exciting opportunity for students in grades 6 - 8 to further explore their mathematical abilities. Open to all interested 6-8th graders, the Math Team engages in weekly meetings where they tackle challenging math problems that go beyond the curriculum covered in their regular math classes. These problems foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills, encouraging students to approach mathematics from new perspectives.
As part of the Math Team, students have the chance to participate in various competitions against other middle schools throughout the year, including events hosted by the Omaha Archdiocese, Duchesne Academy, Creighton Prep, and Central High School. Guided by our dedicated middle school math teacher, the Math Team members receive training and support as they prepare for these exciting competitions.
