The St. Margaret Mary Book Bowl is an engaging and exciting opportunity for seventh and eighth-grade students who share a love for reading. Open to all interested students, the Book Bowl teams delve into a collection of 12 selected books - the same across all teams in the Archdiocese.
At team meetings, students not only discuss the content of the books but also craft questions and quizzes to challenge and support one another in their preparation for the annual competition. This friendly competition, held each February, tests their critical thinking skills based on the concepts and themes explored within the books. The Book Bowl fosters a deep appreciation for literature, encourages teamwork, and provides a platform for students to showcase their knowledge and passion for reading in a spirited academic setting.
